Grey Areas

On opening a spreadsheet shows a large dark grey area where the cells of the spreadsheet should be displayed. There are no vertical or horizontal scroll bars visible.

However, if "Full Screen" is clicked from the View menu, the spreadsheet becomes visible.

When in full screen mode, the Sheet tabs which are normally at the bottom of the spreadsheet, are not visible.  When Full Screen is unselected, you just see the grey area.

Possible cause: the workbook is off the visible screen.

Try Windows > Arrange > Tiled and then resize it.

If the tabs aren't visible, try Tools > Options > View and ensure "Sheet Tabs" is checked

Why? Possibly, files shared by users with different screen settings.
